VENUE & DIRECTIONS
A serene and storied landmark in the heart of Amsterdam, Amstelkerk is a beautiful 17th-century wooden church located on the peaceful Amstelveld square. Built in 1668, Amstelkerk is one of the oldest surviving wooden churches in the Netherlands and offers a quietly powerful atmosphere that feels both intimate and timeless.
Surrounded by trees and historic townhouses, the church sits slightly back from the city’s busiest areas, creating a sense of calm and spaciousness while remaining centrally located. With its simple elegance, warm natural light, and excellent acoustics, Amstelkerk provides a grounded, contemplative environment that beautifully supports reflective, heart-centered, and transformational gatherings. Its understated beauty and historic presence make it a deeply fitting space for inner work, connection, and shared exploration.
The surrounding neighborhood
Amstelkerk is located in the charming Amstelveld / Grachtengordel-Zuid area, one of Amsterdam’s most picturesque and walkable neighborhoods. The surrounding area offers a wonderful blend of classic canal-side beauty and relaxed local life. Within a short walk, you’ll find:
- Cozy cafés and bakeries around Amstelveld and Utrechtsestraat
- A wide range of restaurants, from casual to refined, along Utrechtsestraat
- Beautiful canals and historic bridges in all directions
- Small boutiques, bookstores, and specialty shops
- Quiet green spaces perfect for a reflective stroll before or after the event
This neighborhood invites lingering and exploration, making it easy for attendees to enjoy Amsterdam at a slower, more intentional pace.
How do I get there?
Amstelkerk is centrally located at Amstelveld 10, 1017 JD Amsterdam and is easily accessible by public transport, bike, or taxi.

Several tram lines stop within a short walk of the venue:

- Tram 24 (stop: Frederiksplein)
From each stop, it’s a pleasant 5–8 minute walk through safe, scenic streets and canal paths.
By train
If you’re arriving from outside Amsterdam:
- From Amsterdam Centraal, take tram 4 toward Station RAI or tram 1/7 toward Weesperplein/Museumplein and exit at Muntplein or Rembrandtplein.
- From Amsterdam Zuid, take tram 4 directly toward Centraal Station and exit at Rembrandtplein.
Both routes bring you very close to Amstelkerk.
By taxi, rideshare, or bike
- Taxis and rideshares (Uber/Bolt) can drop you off directly at Amstelveld 10.
- Cyclists will find ample bike parking around Amstelveld and nearby streets.
Parking
As with most central Amsterdam locations, parking is limited but manageable with planning:
- Street parking around Amstelveld and nearby streets (paid, limited availability)
- Q-Park Waterlooplein – about a 7–10 minute walk

Whenever possible, we recommend arriving by tram, bike, or rideshare, which tend to be the easiest and most stress-free options.
